Hutspot, potato, carrot and onion mash with beef rib
Dutch winter stew: potatoes, carrots, and onions cooked together and then mashed, served with klapstuk, a slow-cooked beef dish.
Hutspot is a typical Dutch winter dish. It typically includes potatoes, carrots, and onions, which are cooked together before being mashed and seasoned. It is often served with a meatball, but traditionally it is served with klapstuk, a type of beef that has been slow-cooked for hours, giving it a richer flavor.
