Directions
- Measure the capacity of your cups and then calculate the amount of water and coffee needed: using more coffee will result in a stronger brew. ≈ 3 min
- Heat a little more water than you need in a kettle or saucepan.
- Place the carafe on a coaster (a cold glass can shatter when in contact with hot coffee), place the filter holder on top, and insert a paper filter inside. ≈ 3 min
- Place the ground coffee, and optionally the Buisman, in the filter. ≈ 3 min
- When the water is boiling, pour in a small amount first, just enough to moisten the coffee, and let it expand. ≈ 3 min
- Next, pour the hot water almost to the top of the filter, and repeat until you have the desired amount. ≈ 3 min
- Using an electric coffee maker: measure the water with the carafe, pour it into the reservoir, place a filter and the coffee grounds in the filter basket, place the carafe on the warming plate, and turn on the machine. ≈ 3 min
