Biscoitos de vinho, Brazilian red wine cookies
Brazilian wine biscuits: a dough made with red wine and bacon, shaped into ring-shaped biscuits, fried, then dipped in wine and rolled in sugar.
These biscuits, originating from the interior of Brazil, are shaped into small rings, with one edge turned over like the brim of a hat. After being fried in lard, they are then dipped in red wine and rolled in sugar, allowing them to be stored for a month in a tightly sealed container.
