Directions
- Cut the beef into small pieces and season it with the five-spice powder, soy sauce, sugar, salt, and vinegar, to your liking. ≈ 8 min
- Mix well and let it marinate for 30 minutes to allow the meat to absorb the flavors.
- Heat the oil in a pan, then add the leek and chili pepper and cook until softened.
- Add the beef and cook it over high heat until it is browned and tender.
- Once the meat has absorbed the flavors of the marinade, add a small amount of water and let it cook.
- Bring to a boil, then add a small splash of vinegar.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes to reduce the liquid, then adjust the seasoning.
- Cook the udon noodles, drain them, and serve them with the meat.
