Directions
- Place the turkey in the oven according to the instructions on the packaging. ≈ 3 min
- Remove the flavor packet and boil it to use in the sauce.
- Continue to cook the sauce until it thickens and turns golden brown, then pour in cold water to cover. Simmer for 1 to 2 hours.
- If necessary, fill the inside of the turkey with twine and cotton to close the opening. ≈ 10 min
- Bring the turkey legs together. The stuffing can also be cooked with the turkey during the last hour of cooking. ≈ 3 min
- Roast the turkey at 160 °C (325 °F) for 30 minutes per kilogram, plus an additional 30 minutes if the turkey is stuffed.
- After approximately 30 minutes of cooking, pour 500 ml of hot water into the pot with 1 teaspoon of chicken broth and let it simmer.
- Submerge the turkey several times during cooking. ≈ 3 min
- During the last half hour of cooking, prepare the sauce by combining all the ingredients in a small saucepan and bringing it to a boil.
- Reduce the sauce until it has thickened to about half its original volume, which should take about 15 minutes.
- Strain the sauce. ≈ 2 min
- Pour the sauce over the turkey during the last half-hour of cooking. ≈ 3 min
