Directions
- Soak the bread in a glass of water for a few seconds, just enough to make it soft enough to crumble by hand. The bread should not be too soggy.
- Place the garlic cloves in a large pan with oil paint, stirring until they begin to change color. Be careful not to let them turn brown.
- Add the tomato puree, shape it, and cook over medium heat until the mixture begins to simmer.
- Add the breadcrumbs, cut into pieces at least the size of a walnut, after squeezing out the excess moisture, and continue to incorporate them into the mixture with the tomatoes until you achieve a uniform red color. ≈ 4 min
- The soup should still have a fresh, clean flavor and not taste like cherry tomatoes. ≈ 3 min
- Remove from the heat and serve hot in a plate, drizzled with a touch of oil, pepper, and a basil leaf. ≈ 2 min
