Directions

  1. Wash the tomatoes and chop them. ≈ 8 min
  2. Heat the mustard oil in a pot, then add the dried chili peppers and panch phoron.
  3. Add the chopped tomatoes and salt, then stir over medium heat. ≈ 4 min
  4. Once the tomatoes are cooked, add the sugar along with the grapes or dates. ≈ 3 min
  5. Continue to stir over medium heat until the mixture thickens and becomes sticky. ≈ 4 min
  6. When the chutney is thick, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool.
