“Sticky coconut rice cakes”
Small, slightly misshapen rice cakes, filled with sweetened shredded coconut, scented with rose, and colored red and green.
Bunga pudak is a popular Malaysian dessert: a thin, sticky rice flour dough, shaped into rounds in a pan, then topped with sweet coconut and folded into a square. The topping, flavored with rose, takes on two distinct colors.
