Directions
- Preheat the oven to 225 degrees.
- Mix the flour and blood together to create a smooth dough. ≈ 4 min
- Pour the dough into a baking dish and sprinkle with salt. Place it in the oven.
- After approximately 25 minutes, the dough should be firm and have a frozen consistency. Remove it from the oven and let it cool at room temperature (do not put it in the refrigerator, as this will cause it to harden too quickly and make the dough difficult to work with and affect the taste).
- Finely dice the raw potato and then grate it. ≈ 8 min
- After about half an hour, the dough will have cooled sufficiently, and you will be able to handle it without burning yourself.
- Take the dough – which should be similar to a slightly denser version of bread dough – and form it into a ball. Then, knead it vigorously for about 2 minutes.
- Now, mix the milk or cream, the egg, and the grated potato. After 3 minutes of mixing, the dough should have a firm consistency.
- Shape the patties to the size of a shepherd’s pie, and place them on a plate or baking sheet. ≈ 10 min
- Cooked partially (around 4 out of 6 on an oven rack) and then placed on a separate plate.
