Lodeh plonco is a traditional Indonesian dish. It features pumpkin and melinjo leaves simmered in a fragrant coconut milk broth with shrimp.

Directions

  1. Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and cut it into squares. ≈ 8 min
  2. Remove the stems from the melinjó leaves. ≈ 3 min
  3. Grate the coconut and prepare 400 ml of coconut milk. ≈ 8 min
  4. Finely chop the Allium ascalonicum, Allium sativum (garlic), and the red chili peppers. ≈ 8 min
  5. Add the finely chopped herbs and the shrimp.
  6. Add the pumpkin, melinj leaves, and coconut milk, then stir until everything is cooked through. ≈ 4 min

  • 50 g of melinjo leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of small shrimp
  • 1/3 of a coconut, grated (for 400 ml of coconut milk)
  • 4 Allium ascalonicum
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 red chili peppers
  • A pinch of salt
