Lebanese chicken and vegetable stew
Lebanese Mulukhiye: Collard greens cooked with garlic and cilantro, simmered with chicken and its broth, seasoned with lemon, and served with rice.
The mallow (a type of leafy vegetable) is a plant whose leaves give this Lebanese dish its distinctive texture. After being simmered for a long time with garlic and cilantro, they are then cooked with the chicken and its broth, and finally served with rice and vermicelli.
