Directions

  1. Season the cream with salt and pepper, adding a pinch of chili pepper. ≈ 2 min
  2. In a skillet, arrange the ham slices and hold them in place with toothpicks. Then mix the Port wine with the tomato paste and the spiced cream, stirring well to get a thick, smooth cream without lumps.
  3. Pour this mixture over the ham slices, sprinkle with Emmental cheese and bake in an oven preheated to 210 °C for 10 minutes until golden.

  • 6 slices of cooked ham (cut about 2-3 mm thick), 150 g per slice.
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • 3 tbsp Port
  • 100 g grated Emmental
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt, as needed
  • peperoncino, to taste
  • a pinch of finely chopped chili pepper
