Directions

  1. In a pot, add the chopped, 3 cm-sized bacon pieces to the lard.
  2. Remove the meat, and sauté the finely chopped onions and sliced carrots in the same pan. ≈ 3 min
  3. Remove the onions, and deglaze with white wine. ≈ 3 min
  4. Add the bay leaf, thyme sprig, berries, brown sugar, and mix well. ≈ 4 min
  5. Place the bread slices on top of the meat, spread mustard on each slice, and add the beer. ≈ 3 min
  6. Cook for 2 hours, then adjust the seasoning.
