Directions
- Place the cream cheese in a bowl and beat it for 3 minutes with a whisk or mixer. Add 1/4 cup of sugar and 1/8 teaspoon of salt, then beat for another 3 minutes.
- Add the egg yolk, yogurt, and vanilla. Mix well. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. In a bowl, combine the butter and three-quarters of the remaining sugar. Add 1/8 teaspoon of salt and the egg mixture. Gradually add the flour.
- Take a tablespoon of dough, form it into a ball, flatten it slightly, and place it on a griddle covered with parchment paper. Make holes in the center with your finger or a spoon. ≈ 3 min
- Bake for 10 minutes, then flip the cakes and bake for another 7-9 minutes until they are golden brown. Spread melted cream cheese on top of each cake before returning them to the oven to finish baking.
- Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
