Directions

  1. First, thoroughly rinse the fish pieces in clean water and drain them. ≈ 2 min
  2. Next, lightly rub them with salt and turmeric powder, then let them rest for at least 10 minutes on one side.
  3. Place a pot on the stove and heat the required amount of sesame oil.
  4. Once the oil paint is hot, fry the fish pieces over medium heat, turning them occasionally to ensure they are lightly browned on both sides.
  5. Once cooked, remove the fish and place it in a serving dish. ≈ 3 min
  6. In the same pan, add the remaining oil paint (you can add a small amount more if needed).
  7. Continue to cook the chopped onion until it takes on a slightly golden color.
  8. Once the onions are cooked, add garlic paste and ginger paste. ≈ 3 min
  9. Continue to stir and cook until the aroma of the spices disappears.
  10. Then, add the chopped tomatoes, turmeric, chili powder, cumin, cilantro, and salt to the pan, to your liking.
  11. To prevent the spices from burning, mix all the ingredients together and cook them gently with a small amount of water. ≈ 4 min
  12. Once the spices have been incorporated and the oil paint has started to rise to the surface, and the tomatoes have begun to soften, add hot water as needed. ≈ 3 min
  13. Once the sauce has thickened sufficiently, gently add the pre-cooked fish to the pan.
  14. Place the fresh peppers, sliced into strips, on top of the pot, then cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes.
  15. Once the sauce has thickened and the ingredients begin to release their oils, turn off the heat.
  16. Just before serving, sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley and gently mix. ≈ 4 min
