Directions
- Cook the bulgur in 3 tablespoons of salted water until it is fully cooked. Spread a sufficient amount of butter on a griddle and arrange 3-4 pieces of shortcrust pastry on it. Then, cover with the cooked bulgur, sprinkle with 2-3 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of butter. Repeat until all the ingredients are used. The final layer should be a plain crust, generously coated with melted butter. Bake in a hot oven or over embers, transferring the dish to a roasting pan (sach). When the tart is cooked on both sides, brush it with cold water (if desired, seasoned) and wrap it in a kitchen towel or dishcloth. Cut it into portions when the tart is almost fully cooked. ≈ 3 min
