Directions
- Thoroughly rinse the glasses and lids, then rinse them carefully and place them upside down on a kitchen towel to drain. ≈ 2 min
- Bring a pot of water to a boil with the porter.
- Briefly soak the apricots, remove the skins, remove the pits, and cut the apricots into quarters.
- Peel the onions, cut them in half, and then slice thinly. ≈ 8 min
- Cut off the ends of a ginger root, peel away the “bumps” (the small protrusions) with a peeler, and finely chop the ginger. ≈ 8 min
- In a pan, heat the fat and brown the onion slices for a few moments.
- Add all the ingredients and let it simmer for about 45 minutes.
- After cooking, pour the hot chutney into the prepared jars, filling them completely. ≈ 3 min
- Close the jars and place them on a clean dishcloth for about 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, place the glasses in the refrigerator.
- For approximately 3 to 4 weeks. ≈ 3 min
