A triangular apple tart, made with croissant dough and filled with sweet, juicy apples.
The appelflap is a culinary specialty of the northern Netherlands, but also popular in Belgium. This triangular pastry is perfect for a snack or a light dessert.

Directions
- Peel the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the seeds, and then cut them into small pieces. ≈ 8 min
- Add sugar, предварительно soaked grapes, ground cinnamon, and a few drops of rum extract to flavor, as well as, if desired, lemon juice. ≈ 3 min
- Thoroughly mix everything together using a wooden spoon in a bowl. ≈ 4 min
- Starting with the puff pastry, which is made from butter and spread on a surface that has been lightly floured, cut out squares approximately 12-15 cm in size, and fill each square with a generous amount of filling. ≈ 10 min
- Next, moisten the edges and fold to form a triangle, then glue them together. ≈ 3 min
- Coat the cookies with beaten egg and sprinkle with granulated sugar. ≈ 2 min
- Bake in a preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes.
- After baking, the cookies will have a golden color and a crispy texture. ≈ 3 min
