Directions
- Thoroughly rinse the glasses and lids, then rinse them carefully and place them upside down on a kitchen towel to drain. ≈ 2 min
- Squeeze an orange using a citrus juicer. ≈ 3 min
- Wash the apples and cut them into small pieces. ≈ 8 min
- Bring the ingredients containing water to a boil.
- Once the apples have been cooked for about 8 to 10 minutes, cover a large pot with a clean dishcloth, ensuring that the edges extend beyond the rim.
- Harvest the fruits, remove the kitchen dishcloth (secure the corners with a thread), and collect the juice. ≈ 3 min
- Lift and secure the rolled fabric on the frame. ≈ 3 min
- Once the fabric has cooled slightly, do not wring it too much.
- Pour the juice with the sugar for jam into a pot. ≈ 3 min
- Place this liquid on the stove and bring it to a boil quickly.
- As soon as the mixture thickens (approximately 3 to 4 minutes), remove the foam that rises with a spoon several times, and check if the mixture passes the “gel test,” which means placing a small amount of the mixture on an inclined plate and observing whether it flows completely and thickly downwards, like very thick lava.
- As soon as this happens, remove the pot from the heat. ≈ 3 min
