Bulang-bulang is a Filipino vegetable stew, seasoned with a touch of pork and shrimp paste. It is simple, light, and full of flavor.

Directions

  1. In a pan, heat the oil and add the garlic, onion, and tomatoes.
  2. Add the pork and get it sizzling.
  3. Add the shrimp paste, pumpkin, and water, then bring to a boil.
  4. Add the remaining vegetables and cook until they are tender.
  5. Serve it very hot. ≈ 2 min

  • 1 tablespoon of oil paint
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 60 g of pork, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons of shrimp paste (bagoong)
  • 2 pieces of pumpkin, cut into squares
  • 125 ml of water
  • 1 kilogram of dried beans, cut into 5 cm pieces
  • 1 pod of winged bean (bataw)
  • 1 bitter cucumber (also known as a “gherkin”), cut into 2.5 cm pieces
  • 1 bunch of water spinach (kangkong), cut into 5 cm pieces
  • 2 eggplants, cut into 2.5 cm pieces
