Directions

  1. Combine the ingredients. ≈ 4 min
  2. The consistency can be adjusted by changing the ratio of liquid ingredients (water) to solid ingredients (salt and flour). ≈ 3 min
  3. If the dough is sticky, add more flour. ≈ 3 min
  4. To check if the consistency is correct, try to form a ball of dough. ≈ 10 min
  5. The ball must be able to remain stable for 2 minutes without the dough deforming.
  6. If you wish, you can also add color, for example, food coloring. ≈ 3 min
  7. Mix the dough and use it to create shapes, molds, etc. ≈ 4 min
  8. Once the figures have taken shape, the clay can be dried for a longer period (several days) at room temperature to harden the figure. ≈ 3 min
  9. The drying process can be sped up by heating the figurines to a temperature of around 70-80 °C until they are completely dry, but this could cause the clay to crack. ≈ 3 min
  10. The cooking time will depend on the thickness of the figurines. ≈ 3 min
  11. Once the dough is dry, it can potentially be painted. ≈ 3 min
  12. Mix the flour (and optionally, glitter) with the 3 tablespoons of edible oil paint in a large container. ≈ 4 min
  13. Add a few drops of food coloring to the water. ≈ 3 min
  14. Combine the dry and wet ingredients, then begin kneading by hand. ≈ 10 min
  15. If the mixture is too dry, you can add a little water, but very gradually. ≈ 3 min
  16. Mix for a few minutes until the mixture is no longer sticky. ≈ 4 min
  17. It is very important that the mixture is well-homogenous in order to achieve a good result. ≈ 3 min
