Lamb pieces marinated in lemon, ginger, and garlic, then steamed with mint and curry leaves to create a tender and flavorful dish.
This Kerala Indian dish is steamed, using very little fat. The spices are used sparingly to allow the natural flavour of the lamb to shine through. It’s a light and delicious meal.

Directions
- Thoroughly wash the lamb, then let it rest for 15 minutes with lemon juice and salt.
- Coat the pieces of dough with a mixture of ginger, garlic, green chili peppers, chili powder, black pepper, and turmeric, then let it marinate for 30 minutes.
- Pour the water into the steamer and turn it on.
- Place the marinated lamb on the steamer basket, along with the curry leaves and mint.
- Steam the meat over medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes, or until it is tender.
- Remove from the steamer and serve immediately.
