Directions
- Mix the baking soda and tartar cream with warm water, add a little cold water to prevent the flour from boiling, then pour over the flour mixed with spices. Add the oil and knead into a moderately soft dough. ≈ 10 min
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl with a lid and let it rest for an hour. Then, pour it onto a lightly floured work surface and shape it into 6 small loaves.
- Place the bread, with the oiled side facing up, to achieve a beautiful, dark, and smooth crust. Dip the bottom into the oil and then place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 5 minutes in a hot oven, then reduce the heat to medium and cook for approximately 40 minutes, depending on your oven.
