Directions
- Heat the liquid to a temperature close to body temperature, for example, in a microwave or in a pot.
- Dissolve the starter in the liquid, then mix.
- Add a sweetener, salt, and 2 cups of wheat flour. ≈ 3 min
- Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon. ≈ 4 min
- Gradually add the flour and flakes, then knead the dough by hand. ≈ 10 min
- Next, add the oil paint and continue to knead, gradually adding flour until the dough separates from your hands and the edges of the bowl. ≈ 10 min
- Cover the dough with parchment paper and let it rise in a warm place for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Place the dough on a floured surface or on a baking sheet. ≈ 3 min
- Knead the dough to remove any excess air. ≈ 10 min
- Form a ball with the dough and divide it into 8 to 12 portions. ≈ 10 min
- Remove the dough and the parchment paper. ≈ 3 min
- Shape the pieces into small bread-like forms and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. ≈ 3 min
- Cover with a clean dishcloth and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 225 degrees.
- Bake the baguette-style bread in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
