A capêlete is a traditional puff pastry dish from Flanders. Here’s how to make it.

Directions

  1. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and form small pieces. ≈ 4 min
  2. Next, garnish the appetizers. ≈ 10 min
  3. Boil the small buns in boiling, salted water (by dissolving a meat broth tablet).
  4. Bake in the oven to lightly brown them.
  5. Decoration: ≈ 3 min

Ingredients

  • 250 g of wheat flour
  • 2 precious stones
  • 15 grams of butter
  • salt
  • 1/2 cup (US measuring cup) of water
  • Mix all the ingredients together and let them rest for 1 hour.
  • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and form small pieces. Then, fill the pieces.
  • Boil the small buns in boiling, salted water (by dissolving a meat broth tablet).
  • After cooking them, toss them in a sauce made with pasta and cheese.
  • Bake in the oven to lightly brown them.
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup (of coffee) of milk
  • Knead and roll out the dough thinly, then add your desired fillings, and finally bake in chicken broth.
  • This dough can also be used to make ravioli (which are then cooked in salted water and seasoned like regular pasta).

The screen stays on while cooking mode is open.
