Directions
- Slice the onions thinly. ≈ 8 min
- Melt the butter, add the onions and sugar, and cook over low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are lightly browned.
- Pour in the Xérès vinegar and the red wine. ≈ 3 min
- Salt, pepper, and continue to cook, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Refrigerate.
