Directions
- The carrots and onions have been peeled, washed, and cut into small pieces. ≈ 3 min
- They are then fried in fat. ≈ 3 min
- The ground beef is added and cooked until it is no longer pink. ≈ 3 min
- The apples have been peeled and washed. ≈ 3 min
- They are cut into cubes and added to the mixture so that they become slightly cooked. ≈ 3 min
- The mixture is poured into a dish, and the tomatoes and spices (red pepper, black pepper, oregano, salt) are added to taste. ≈ 3 min
- We add enough water to cover the apples. ≈ 3 min
- The dish is baked in the oven at 250 °C for approximately 30 minutes, until it is golden brown.
- Meanwhile, a sauce is prepared using beaten eggs, yogurt, flour, and grated cheese. ≈ 3 min
- If the yogurt is too thick, add a little water. ≈ 3 min
- The musaka is then topped with this sauce and sprinkled with chopped parsley. ≈ 2 min
- It needs to be cooked for another 10 to 15 minutes, until the sauce is nicely browned.
- Note: In addition to the red and black pepper, thyme can also be added, which provides a delicious flavour. ≈ 3 min
