Directions
- Peel the bulbs of Allium sativum (garlic) and the onions. Finely chop them. ≈ 8 min
- Rinse the cilantro under cold water. Squeeze it dry in paper towels, then chop it. ≈ 8 min
- In a pan, heat a small amount of oil and add the garlic and onions.
- Keep returning until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Add the cilantro, then the eggs one at a time, continuing to mix. ≈ 4 min
- Add the ground meat and cumin. Season with salt and pepper, and continue cooking for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Cut the puff pastry sheets in half. Place a spoonful of filling on each half and roll them up to form a large cigar shape. ≈ 10 min
- Heat some vegetable oil in a pan and fry the beignets until they are golden brown.
- Drain them on paper towels before serving. ≈ 2 min
