Directions

  1. Soak the mung lentils in water for 4 hours.
  2. Thoroughly drain the lentils and blend them with a small amount of water, but not enough to create a too-liquid mixture. ≈ 4 min
  3. Add the onion, chili peppers, ginger, garlic, cilantro, salt, and baking soda to the dough, then mix thoroughly. ≈ 4 min
  4. Take small portions of dough and flatten them by hand. ≈ 3 min
  5. Heat the oil in a deep pan and fry the doughnuts over medium heat until they are golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain off any excess oil paint and serve. ≈ 2 min
