Directions
- Dice the bacon into 3 cm pieces. Cook the bacon and sausages for 5 minutes in the pre-heated broth. Remove the sausages and bacon, leaving the broth. Slice the sausages into four equal pieces.
- Peel the apples and onions, and cut them into thick slices. ≈ 8 min
- Place the potato slices at the bottom of a high-sided pot, followed by a layer of onion and half of the bacon and sausages. Repeat, finishing with a layer of peeled apples. Pour in the broth, season with salt and pepper, and simmer over low heat, covered, for about 1 hour.
