Directions

  1. Gather all the ingredients. ≈ 3 min
  2. Boil the meat and offal separately until they are cooked and tender.
  3. Harvest them, then cut them into pieces according to your preference. ≈ 8 min
  4. Set aside approximately 500 ml of meat broth.
  5. First, prepare a palette, then heat the oil paint.
  6. Continue to sauté the chopped spices, including galangal and bay leaves, until the fragrance is released.
  7. Add the cooked meat and organ meats, then mix thoroughly. ≈ 4 min
  8. Add the coconut milk and the broth.
  9. Cook until the sauce has reduced by half.
  10. Add thick cream, then cook over low heat until the sauce thickens and becomes rich.
  11. Once ready, lift and pour into a bowl. ≈ 3 min
  12. Garnish with fresh chives and fried onions on top. ≈ 2 min
  13. The “empal gentong” is ready to be served. ≈ 2 min
