Directions
- Preheat the oven to 225-250 °C.
- Peel and rinse the apples. ≈ 8 min
- Cut each one into thin slices without cutting through them: they should remain attached to the base, like the pages of a book. ≈ 8 min
- Place them cut-side up in a greased baking dish. ≈ 3 min
- Salt and distribute the butter in small pieces. ≈ 2 min
- Bake for approximately 45 minutes, or until the apples are tender and golden brown.
- Drizzle them with the melted butter from the dish as it cooks, and also before serving. ≈ 2 min
