Directions
- Crack the eggs into a bowl, whisk them lightly, then add the salt and pepper. ≈ 4 min
- Heat a skillet over medium heat, then melt the butter with a small amount of oil paint. Watch carefully to prevent the butter from burning, and spread it evenly over the bottom of the skillet.
- Once the pan is hot, pour in the beaten eggs, tilting the pan to spread them evenly. As soon as they start to set, use a spatula to bring the edges towards the center, then tilt the pan again to distribute the egg mixture.
- While the surface is still slightly wet, fold or roll the omelette, lifting one edge to give it its shape. ≈ 10 min
- Place the omelette on a plate. The center should remain soft and slightly runny. ≈ 3 min
