Directions

  1. Cut the beef into large cubes, then roll them in flour. ≈ 10 min
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan or frying pan.
  3. Coat the seasoned meat pieces with flour. ≈ 3 min
  4. Add the chopped onions, thyme, bay leaf (in a bouquet garni), salt, and pepper. ≈ 3 min
  5. Add the beer and sugar. (You can use more than 1/3 of a liter if you let it simmer for a longer time.)
  6. Cover the pot, place it over low heat, and let it simmer for an hour and a half.
