Directions
- In a bowl, combine the chicken with garlic, berbere, paprika, cumin, cilantro, turmeric, and salt, mixing well to coat the meat evenly. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Continue to cook the onion until it becomes translucent and slightly golden.
- Add the marinated chicken in a single layer and let it cook for a few minutes without stirring, so that it browns.
- Stir and turn the pieces with a wooden spoon or spatula to ensure even cooking, until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink. ≈ 4 min
- Pour the lemon juice over the chicken and mix well. ≈ 4 min
- Remove from the heat and sprinkle with fresh cilantro or parsley. ≈ 2 min
- Serve hot with injera or another type of bread. ≈ 2 min
