Directions

  1. Peel the potatoes and grate them into a bowl. ≈ 8 min
  2. Add the flour and sugar, then mix until you have a smooth dough. ≈ 4 min
  3. Divide the dough into two portions, and place each portion in a cabbage leaf or a large kale leaf. Then tie the leaves up to form a bag. ≈ 3 min
  4. Boil in a saucepan of water for 30 minutes. Another method is to bake in heated sand, which takes about 1 hour; cooked in a curanto, it will be ready at the same time as the other ingredients, in about 2 hours.
  5. Cut each cabbage piece into four, and serve it cold, with honey or jam. ≈ 8 min
