Directions
- Wash and boil the chicken. ≈ 2 min
- Disassemble the chickens into 8 pieces. ≈ 3 min
- Prepare a chicken pot pie using chicken, onion, flour, salt, and pepper until the chicken is golden brown.
- Add the chopped onions and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Add the mushrooms and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Pour in the red wine and chicken broth, then add the bacon.
- Cook over medium heat for about 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Add the thyme and bay leaf mixture, then continue to cook for another 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with pan-fried, locally grown apples.
