Directions
- Clean the herring by removing the innards, head, fins and scales. Then wash them. ≈ 8 min
- Lightly salt the herring and season them with lemon juice. ≈ 2 min
- Heat the vinegar in a saucepan. Dip the herring in the hot vinegar.
- Simmer the herring in boiling salted water for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the herring from the water and arrange them on warmed plates.
