Directions
- Cut the bacon into 2.5 cm pieces. ≈ 8 min
- Cut the cheese slices into thin strips, about 2.5 cm wide. ≈ 8 min
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Make sure the pan is well coated with butter.
- Reduce the heat to medium once half of the butter has melted.
- whisk the eggs until they are a uniform color. ≈ 4 min
- Pour the eggs into the pan, then rotate the pan so that the eggs cover the entire surface.
- Continue to stir until the edges are thick, then use a spatula to lift one side of the cooked egg, allowing the remaining liquid from the center to flow underneath and cook. Continue to stir the pan and move the spatula to adjacent areas until most of the egg liquid is cooked.
- Place the cheese on one side of the omelette. ≈ 3 min
- Place the bacon on top of the cheese. ≈ 3 min
- Carefully, flip the omelette over, placing the side with the bacon and cheese against the pan, so that you create a half-circle shape. ≈ 3 min
- Set the oven to low and cook until the cheese is melted. Perfect for two servings; also great with vegetables or a salad. ≈ 3 min
