- Prepare the apples the day before, by cooking them as you would steamed apples.
- Peel the apples and grate them finely. Mash or coarsely chop them. ≈ 8 min
- Mix the flour with the baking powder and incorporate it into the mashed potatoes. ≈ 4 min
- Finely chop the lemon and orange, then add them to the mixture. ≈ 8 min
- Add the eggs, sugar, ground hazelnuts, and cinnamon to the mixture. ≈ 3 min
- Thoroughly knead the dough. ≈ 3 min
- Spread the dough evenly over the baking sheets. ≈ 4 min
- Baking: Bake the spiced cookies at 175 °C (electric oven) / 150 °C (oven with a fan function) for approximately 20 minutes.
