Directions

  1. Thoroughly rinse the dried fruits, especially if they have been treated with sulfur. ≈ 2 min
  2. Place them in a pot and cover generously with water: the fruits will expand as they absorb water, and they need to remain submerged. ≈ 3 min
  3. Allow to rise, covered, for at least 8 hours, or overnight.
  4. Place the pot on the stove, add the vanilla sugar and cinnamon stick. Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer gently for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove the cinnamon stick and serve warm or cold. ≈ 2 min

  • 375 g of mixed dried fruits (apricot, prune, apple), preferably unsulphured
  • water
  • 8 grams of vanilla sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
