Ajonfpot is a traditional Belgian soup that combines cooked vegetables in a broth with a creamy puree. It is a comforting and nutritious dish, perfect for cold days.

Directions

  1. Wash and peel the vegetables. Chop them into pieces and cook in water or broth.
  2. Melt the margarine in a saucepan, then add the flour and stir until the mixture is a golden color.
  3. Add the cream to the soup and stir until everything is heated through. Season with salt, pepper, soup spices, and (if desired) cumin. ≈ 4 min
  4. Pour the mixture of cream and soup (about a few tablespoons) into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Then, sprinkle with fresh herbs.

  • 2.5 litres of water or vegetable stock
  • 300 grams of ground apples
  • 2 large heads of cauliflower
  • A large carrot
  • One small turnip
  • One bunch of parsley
  • One foot of chives
  • 1/4 of a head of Italian cabbage
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
  • 100 g of margarine
  • 2 tablespoons of wheat flour
  • ¾ cup of cream
  • salt
  • Maggi
  • a pinch of cumin and basil
