Directions
- Mix 1 cup of flour with the yeast and warm water to create a dough. Let it ferment for 3 to 4 hours to develop a starter.
- In the yogurt, dissolve 2 tablespoons of flour. Beat the whites of 3 eggs until stiff peaks form, and then add them to the yogurt mixture. Incorporate this mixture into the starter, add 2 cups of flour to create a smooth dough, and let it rest for 25-30 minutes. While this is happening, boil the sugar with the water until dissolved, then strain the mixture.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Pour the batter into a teapot and form circles in the hot oil. Fry until they are a light golden brown. Submerge the dumplings in the hot syrup for 5 minutes, then drain them in a colander.
