Three Japanese ways to prepare whale meat: deep-fried as tatsuta-age, served as sashimi with wasabi and shiso, or simmered in curry.
Whale meat, rich in protein, vitamin A, and iron, retains a cultural significance in Japan, where its availability remains limited. Here are three preparations: tatsuta-age, sashimi, and curry.
