Lentil and bacon purée
A creamy split pea soup made with chicken broth, bacon, onion, and celery, blended and served with sour cream and crispy bacon.
Split peas, soaked and then simmered for a long time in a chicken broth, create a thick and comforting puree. The bacon, onion, garlic, and celery add flavor. Serve it with a dollop of sour cream and some chopped bacon.

Directions
- Wash the split peas and soak them in water for 3 hours.
- Drain them. ≈ 2 min
- In a pot, heat the oil paint.
- Please include the bacon, onion, garlic, and celery.
- Pour in the chicken broth along with the split peas and bay leaf.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat.
- Cook for 2 hours and 30 minutes to 3 hours, or until the peas are tender.
- Let it cool, then blend until you reach a smooth consistency.
- Return the mixture to the pot and cook again until the puree thickens slightly.
- Season to taste. ≈ 2 min
- Serve with sour cream and chopped bacon. ≈ 2 min
