These Swedish cookies, known as “finska pinnar,” are made with a simple sugar pastry. Cut into sticks, they are baked until golden brown and then sprinkled with almonds and sugar pearls, making them the perfect accompaniment to coffee.

Directions
- Place the flour in a well on the work surface. Create a well and add the sugar and fat to it. Chop with a knife and work into a dough. Alternatively, put everything in a food processor with a blade and pulse until a dough forms. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Roll the dough into sausage-shaped pieces, about the thickness of a finger, and of equal length. Place them side by side on a sheet of parchment paper. Brush them with beaten egg and sprinkle with chopped almonds and pearl sugar. Cut them into 4-5 cm pieces and arrange them on a baking sheet. ≈ 3 min
- Bake in the middle of the oven for about 10 minutes at 175-200 °C.
