Directions
- In a bowl, combine the yeast, salt, and sugar. Add the warm milk and melted butter, mix well, then gradually add the flour until a smooth dough forms. Then add the eggs and knead on a clean surface until a very soft dough is obtained. ≈ 10 min
- Roll out the dough thinly, and sprinkle it with flour to prevent it from sticking. ≈ 4 min
- Spread the dough with butter, then spread the puree and grated cheese evenly over it. Also, add anise seeds. ≈ 4 min
- Roll the dough horizontally to form a ball, then press it down. Next, cut out circles about 4 cm in diameter. Place them on a greased baking sheet and let them rise for an hour in a warm place, preferably out of direct sunlight. ≈ 10 min
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Bake until golden brown, then remove and brush with the melted glaze.
