Directions
- Clean the mushrooms to remove any dirt. ≈ 8 min
- Remove the foot from the mold by hand to keep the hats empty. ≈ 3 min
- Boil them for 3 minutes in salted water with a few drops of lemon juice. The feet are not needed here; prepare them separately as you wish.
- Gently melt the Cheddar cheese and add your chosen filling: blue cheese, fried bacon, or cooked shrimp. Season with salt and pepper.
- Fill a hat with two small spoons, then close it with another hat to form a ball. ≈ 10 min
- Allow the cheese to cool so that it sets properly and the balls are easier to handle.
- In the correct order: flour, egg, breadcrumbs. ≈ 3 min
- Fry in a large amount of oil paint.
- Serve with a tartar sauce. ≈ 2 min
