Directions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, make a well, and add 10 cl of lukewarm milk and the yeast. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
- Incorporate all the flour into the center, gradually adding the warm milk. ≈ 4 min
- Mix well, and let it rest for an hour next to a radiator (cover with a dishcloth).
- Add the melted butter, sugar, and fruits, zest, and candied ginger. Mix well, and let it rest for 2 hours next to a radiator.
- Divide the dough into two equal-sized cakes; for each cake, crumble a block of almond paste and add it inside. ≈ 3 min
- Bake in a preheated oven at 170 °C for 40 minutes.
- Dust with powdered sugar ≈ 3 min
