Beef tenderloin steaks wrapped in crushed pepper, pan-fried, and then topped with a rich sauce made with mushrooms, onions, and red wine.
This Filipino-style steak is coated in crushed peppercorns and then topped with a brown sauce made with mushrooms, thyme, and red wine. It is cooked on a grill or over an open fire.

Directions
- Season the steaks, then coat them with minced garlic and paprika. Finally, roll them in the crushed pepper, which has been spread out on a plate. ≈ 10 min
- Heat up some oil paint in a pan and cook the steaks to your desired level of doneness. You can also grill them over the embers.
- Melt the butter in a pan and add the onion and mushrooms.
- Add the red wine and thyme, and let it simmer for 2 minutes, then stir in the brown sauce.
- Continue cooking for a few more minutes, then pour the sauce over the cooked steaks. ≈ 3 min
